The first annual Food Allergy Bloggers Conference will be held at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 2, 3, 4, of 2013. Early Bird prices in effect until June 30th! Grab yours for $175.  From July 1, 2013-July 31, 2013 tickets are $200, from August 1, 2013-August 31, 2013 tickets are $225.  From September 1, 2013 onward, a ticket will be $250. for the event! You WON’T want to miss the deals- or the event!


The Las Vegas FARE Walk will be held at 10:00 AM on November 2nd. Registration opens at 8:30 AM.  If you would like to come to Las Vegas on Friday, and join our walk team for the Las Vegas FARE Walk, we are planning to offer a shuttle service to and from the event on Saturday so register early and let us know if you’d like to ride with us to The District for the walk. The South Point Hotel will extend a discounted rate to guests booking Friday night too! Come Friday, and make a weekend of it! It will be a lot of fun, and can give you some extra time to visit with other conference attendees, and site see around Vegas [Friday night and after the Walk]!

We will also have some gift certificates courtesy of The South Point and the Las Vegas FARE for the top fund raisers on the ‘Food Allergy Bloggers’ Team! The highest fundraiser as of midnight PT June 30th 2013; shall win a full conference ticket for the 2013 FAB event (Congrats to Selena Bluntzer for winning!).  The highest fundraiser as of midnight PT July 31, 2013 shall also win a full conference ticket for the 2013 FAB event.  The highest fundraiser as of midnight PT November 1, 2013, will win a FREE 2 nights 3 day stay for the South Point Hotel, good through August 2014 (covers room & tax only)   The second highest fundraiser shall win a FREE dinner for 2. Both FARE and the South Point were our earliest supporters in creating this conference so please consider participating in the walk event!  If we raise $1,000 before July 31, 2013 our conference name will appear on the walk t-shirts.  If you raise $100 or more as an individual you will get a free shirt and all children walking automatically get a free shirt without any sponsor logos on the back.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:  Hotel rooms must be reserved no later than OCTOBER 3, 2013 to get the conference discounted room rates.  All requests for rooms at the convention group rate must be received no later than October 3, 2013.   Guests may also call The South Point Hotel Reservations Department directly 866-791-7626 (toll free).  In order to obtain your special group rate, the guests need to identify themselves as being with Food Allergy Blogger Conference or group code:  FOO1102.  The South Point has also prepared a page just for conference attendees that you can access: HERE for easy registration.

The South Point has 11 restaurants to chose from, as well as having a renowned Food Allergy aware and trained Head Chef, Keith Norman (He was honored at last year’s Las Vegas FARE walk for his contributions to our community!). For those with allergy concerns, PLEASE email us HERE after registering so we can be prepared to meet your dietary restrictions.

The group room rates are based on single or double occupancy, in effect during the conference.  All rates are subject to twelve percent (12%) Clark County room tax and the rates are as follows:

  • 11/1, 11/2- $80* per night
  • 11/3, 11/4-$50* per night.
  • *plus tax and resort fee.  The HOTEL has a resort fee of $14.00 inclusive, per room, per night.

 The resort fee includes the following perks: 

  • Complimentary in-room WIFI/internet 
  • Complimentary Fitness Center access 
  • Complimentary Airport Shuttle 
  • Free local/toll free phone calls  
  • Complimentary printing of Boarding Passes 
  • Complimentary WIFI in Business Center  
  • Complimentary parking and valet

The charge for triple and/or quad occupancy is $20.00 per night, over the quoted guest room rate.  So you can chip in with some friends and share a room but you’ll have to plan together and let the hotel know you’ll be having more than two people in a room if that is the case.  Children under the age of 15 years may share a room with their parents at no additional charge provided additional bedding is not required.  NO MORE THAN FOUR (4) PERSONS PER ROOM ALLOWED.

Some other considerations that we’d like to share regarding the hotel’s policies:

Within the State of Nevada, a “minor” is designated as a person who has not yet reached his or her 21st birthday. ID may be requested upon check-in. All persons, under the age of 21 years, will share a room with at least one adult chaperone, 21 years of age or older.

The South Point requires a first night’s deposit of room and tax, per room, to guarantee individual reservations and the credit card will be charged the first night’s room and tax. The South Point accepts all major credit cards for the deposit and the credit card will be charged for the stipulated room and tax.  Guaranteed reservations will be held until 6:00 AM on the following date.

INDIVIDUAL GUEST ROOM CANCELLATION POLICY: Individual cancellations inside 72 hours of arrival shall forfeit any room deposit (if applicable), or be billed for one night’s room and tax.  In addition, one night’s room and tax will be billed for any guest who fails to check-in on the scheduled arrival date.  Any remaining nights of a “no-show” reservation will be canceled, and all deposits forfeited.
